With years of experience in LED display export business, RIGARD frequently receives certificate requests from global clients. Many customers regard certificates as mere PDF documents for inquiry responses and website display. Nevertheless, for real-world overseas projects, certifications play a critical role in customs clearance, project acceptance and insurance approval. Once compliance issues emerge, goods may be detained and projects suspended, resulting in losses far exceeding the value of the cargo itself.
There is a common misconception within the industry: **component certifications do not equal full-unit certifications**. Some suppliers claim full-screen compliance only by providing CE or UL certificates for power supplies. Certificates for standalone power supplies or receiving cards cannot prove that the complete LED cabinet has passed full-scope safety and EMC tests. European and American project supervisors and local installation authorities will cross-check whether certified model numbers match the actual delivered full cabinets. Tender projects will reject submissions relying solely on component-level certificates.

🇪🇺 EU & UK Markets
- CE (LVD Low-Voltage Safety + EMC Electromagnetic Compatibility) + RoHS: Mandatory requirements for the EU. We supply complete test reports, Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and full technical documentation to handle customs spot-checks. Whether for indoor church screens or outdoor advertising displays, qualified EMC performance prevents interference with on-site audio and broadcast equipment.
- UKCA + UK-RoHS: Certifications for the United Kingdom. Post-Brexit, CE marks are no longer valid for UK customs clearance. Our full-unit products hold independent complete UKCA compliance.
🇺🇸🇨🇦 North American Markets
- FCC SDoC: Mandatory EMC requirement for entry into the US market. **CE-EMC cannot substitute FCC certification**.
- ETL Full-Unit Certification to UL8750 Standard: While not enforced by customs, ETL is widely required by end-users, installers and insurance providers for stadium, church and commercial fixed-installation projects. Projects cannot obtain final acceptance without valid full-unit certificates. We submit complete cabinets for testing, rather than relying only on component-level power supply certifications.
🇸🇦🇮🇳 Middle East Markets
Built on CB international test reports, we support SABER customs certificate application for Saudi Arabia. Compliance risk assessment is integrated into quotation phases to avoid cargo detention at ports due to non-compliance.
Practical Tips for Our Global Partners
When reviewing certificates from suppliers, please perform three simple verification checks:
- Confirm whether the certificate holder’s legal entity name matches the actual manufacturing supplier;
- Verify that product model numbers stated on certificates refer to complete LED cabinets for your order, not merely power-supply part numbers;
- Ensure test reports are issued by CNAS/ILAC-accredited laboratories; reject generic template documents without official report IDs.
