Dual Power & Dual Signal Redundant Ports|High-Reliability Redundancy Technology for LED Displays
In critical scenarios such as command and dispatch, events and performances, and broadcast studios, once an LED display goes black or loses signal, it directly causes major losses. Dual power and dual signal redundant port technology builds dual insurance for power and signal for the large screen, and is the core protection solution for a high-reliability LED display system.

Dual power redundancy uses a dual-power parallel current-sharing hot-backup architecture, with the cabinet carrying two independent power modules that share the load under normal conditions. When one power supply is damaged or its line breaks, the other power supply takes over all power instantly, with no manual intervention, and the unit screen stays lit, eliminating local or full-screen black screens. The system monitors power status in real time and automatically reports alarms on failure, and maintenance personnel can replace the faulty power supply without interrupting screen operation, achieving online maintenance.

The dual signal redundant ports come with dual receiving cards and dual signal link design, with primary and backup video signals input synchronously. The control system compares the frame data of the two signals in real time, and if any part of the primary link—the network cable, receiving card, or sending card—is abnormal, the system switches seamlessly to the backup signal channel in milliseconds, with no flicker, no black screen, and no misalignment. Unlike ordinary loop backup, the independent dual signal ports avoid single-point link failure and greatly reduce the risk of serial failure transmission.

The complete redundancy solution integrates power and signal backup into the display cabinet, with standardized hardware ports and convenient engineering deployment, fitting different projects such as rental screens, control room large screens, and important outdoor large screens. A single-point failure in traditional LED screens easily triggers failure of the entire screen, while dual power and dual signal redundancy eliminates single-point failures in the power and signal links from the underlying hardware.
Redundancy design is not infinitely piling on hardware, but balancing reliability, cost, and power consumption. For core large screens running 7×24 without interruption, the solution significantly reduces stoppage risk and eases on-site failure handling pressure. As LED display application scenarios keep raising stability requirements, dual power and dual signal redundant ports have become standard technology for high-end engineering projects, continuously safeguarding stable information presentation in important scenarios.
